Thoughts on January 31st...

Updated: Jan 16, 2020

The end is nigh. Or is it? Recently in the UK media, there have been reports that the Erasmus international exchange programme faces its death knell, what with THAT deadline looming.

And, whilst there may well be more than a degree of truth in these press releases- especially in terms of future funding from the EU or the British government- I can’t help thinking: where there’s a will, there’s usually a way.

There are plenty of well-established and long-standing international educational links, between schools, colleges and universities across Europe and the world, uniting students and teachers from Cuba to Coventry and beyond.

Teaching is a forward-thinking profession and it’s teachers and students, by their very definition, innovative and creative in their thinking and in their approach; I’m sure that in spite of Brexit, links and exchanges between education establishments will continue to thrive as their benefits outweigh any added paperwork .

Remember: what doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger! NHewison.
